    Question difference between a DA and a rotary polisher

    Hi guys,i am new to detailing,can someone please advise me on the difference between a DA polisher and a rotary one.

    The DA's plates move in 2 different planes and have less power. Rotaries spin, have much more power and can cause damage to paint with inexperienced users.

    But if you get a FORCED ROTATION BUFFER, you kind of get the best of both worlds! The power of a Rotary with the control of a DA!

    Can you explain the different throws that polishers have. One machine may have an 8mm throw and another may have a 21mm throw?

    The throw is the distance the head oscillates (orbits).

    21mm throw machine would cover more area faster than a 8mm throw machine?
