Destroyed my new car's paint from Hex logics orange pad, (hand application)

    Hi Guys,

So I screwed up and did half my car with a hex logic hand applicator with VSS.

I noticed after in the light that my entire half car is swirled up BAD.

I mustve not rubbed it in enough or did not put enough VSS on.

its a 2016 mustang, always garaged, It had barely any swirls before this.

I now bought a DA and going to try this again.

I was told by someone at CG that I should be fine with VSS with the orange pad and then V38 with the black pad.

I wanted to post these pictures to confirm that VSS and V38 will get rid of these heavy swirls.

Can anyone verify based on looking at this?

    Thank you!

What polisher did you get? I'm planing on getting the torq 10fx this year. I also have a blue mustang but it's a 07. I wander if the clear coats are the same on your and mine not knowing if the clear coat is soft or hard.

What steps did you take prior to applying VSS?

You have to make certain that the surface is clean, and in my opinion, free of contaminants.

Did you clay before you started?

Looking at the pictures, the car looks filthy (not sure when these pictures were taken after the polish/compound job, though). I hope you washed/clayed the car before attempting any type of polish/compound work.

Hey there, I noticed you got some swirls there. You need to use a machine, the VSS breaks down very slowly.
