Newbie here. New to, but loving, detailing.

I just bought a black, 2011 GS350 with 29,000 miles. Although the finish is in reasonable shape, its clear that it has been though car washes by the prior owner. Lots of linear swirls, imperfections.

I just bought a PC7424XP and am deciding on pads and product. I have read that Lexus paint tends to be soft. Should I Orange or Green pad with V36 as the initial combo?

Thx

Rick

I would try a small test area with orange and 36 and adjust from there if need be.

Dumb question...if I did a small test area with orange/36, what would I look for to determine if it was too abrasive or "just right"? Thx

Compare it to a part that you did not do anything with. If it is working you should see the scratches and swirls get better, or completely be removed. Youtube chemical guys. They have great instructional videos on how to do anything to your car detail wise. You will learn a lot. I did!
