Ok Ok Ok I know another guy wanting help and asking about what machine to get. I have read all the post I can find and still have a few questions.

I have a PC now and use the Hex pads and just got the Black Optics, when people on here talk about the Rupes machines the talk about faster correction. They are both faster then my PC but the 21 is faster than the 15 is that mostly because of the 6.5 pad or the throw? I was thinking if I got the 21 I would get the 5" plate so I could use my same pads, is this a waste? Should I just get the 15 if I plan on using the 5.5 pads?

With the 21 or the 15 can you do larger area at a time? They say do a 2' by 2' area for PC can you go 3' by 3' with Rupes 15 or even larger with the 21 with 6.5 pad? Or is it just less passes that saves time? Have not seen a lot of talk about applying sealants or waxes with the Rupes would I just continue to use PC for that?

I know a lot of questions please help if you have answers.

If you get a 21 you will likely need to get a second polisher for areas the 21 is just too big. The 15 would be a better single polisher choice.

You can fit the backing plate from a 15 onto a 21. Works great and helps to cut down the small amount of vibration some complain about with the Rupes.

I have a PC Bunky was looking for faster paint correction and faster polishing. Wondering mainly if the 2 machines work the same with the 5" backing plate or if the 21 is overkill with the 5" plate or the 21 with 5" plate is the best all around combo....

I would really love some feedback here please, there is little difference in price between the 21 and 15 up front, I would save money with not buying 6" pads if I use 21 with 5" plate or just use the 15 but in the long run that limits my options. Is there much difference between 21 with 5" plate and the 15? Does anyone out there have any of theses machines?

I have had both, only kept the 21.

You can run the same backing plate from the 15 on the 21. The only difference is that it has a larger throw than the 15 (21mm vs 15mm).

Is this to replace or addition to your p/c? What size vehicles are you working on? If addition, I'd go w/ the 15. If to replace your p/c, how about the Duetto?
